About the village Lemythou
Lemythou has existed since at least Frankish times and was one of the royal estates. Its name comes either from the lemithi grass that grows here or from a first settler, Lemithes, whose long thin beard looked like the plant.
Built in the shape of an amphitheatre at 1,100 metres, it is a peaceful base for walking, cycling and, in winter, the Troodos snow.
