Bus route Bus stop Start🏁 Destination Transfer stop Scheduled shuttle🚌 Live bus
Why aren’t all scheduled buses shown live?

The timetable shows all scheduled departures, but the map only shows buses currently reporting a live GPS position. A scheduled bus may therefore appear without a live marker. Use the timetable for planned departure times and the live map as real-time guidance when vehicle data is available. Live locations and arrival estimates may be delayed or temporarily unavailable, so please allow extra time for your journey.

How to use the Cyprus bus map

  1. Set your start and destination. Type an address, landmark or business into the "From" and "To" fields above, or tap Locate me to use your current position — the map plans a walking-to-bus-to-walking journey automatically.
  2. Compare the journey options. Each card in the results sheet shows walking time to the stop, the bus ride itself, any transfer, and — where a vehicle is currently reporting its position — a live arrival estimate.
  3. Toggle the map layers. Use the Routes, Stops and Live buses checkboxes above the map to show or hide route lines, stop markers and currently reporting vehicles.
  4. Tap any stop for its schedule. Click a stop marker to open its upcoming departures without leaving the map.
  5. Get directions. Every journey option links out to Google Maps walking and driving directions to the boarding stop, plus the full timetable for that route.

Frequently asked questions

How do I find the best bus route on the map?

Type your starting point and destination into the "From" and "To" fields above the map — an address, landmark or business name all work — or tap "Locate me" to use your current position. The map finds the nearest boarding stop, walking directions and the best available journey automatically.

Are the buses shown on the map live?

Buses currently reporting a GPS position are shown as live 🚌 icons with a real-time arrival estimate. Not every vehicle or operator reports a live position at all times, so when no live signal is available, the map falls back to the published timetable for that route.

What do the colours and icons on the map mean?

Red lines are bus routes, blue circles are bus stops, and a blue marker with white border marks your start point while a purple 🏁 marker marks your destination. An amber marker highlights transfer or destination-serving stops, and a bus icon shows a currently reporting vehicle — see the legend below the map for the full key.

Can I see a bus stop timetable without planning a full journey?

Yes — tap or click any stop marker on the map to open its upcoming departures directly, without needing to enter a destination first.

Does the map cover the whole of Cyprus?

The map includes routes and stops from all major Cyprus bus operators (EMEL, OSEA, OSYPA, Pafos Buses, Intercity and others), so coverage is strongest in and around the main cities and less frequent in rural areas — always check the departures shown for your specific stop.

Is this bus map free to use?

Yes, the live map and journey planner are free to use, with no account or sign-up required.
