About the village Episkopi (Paphos)

Episkopi takes its name from the bishop (episkopos): in the Frankish period the Orthodox bishop of Paphos moved his seat here. Before that it was called Komi.

Saint Hilarion the Great (291–371) spent the end of his life as a hermit on a hill outside the village. Streams of the Ezousa river run through this green, rocky landscape of vines.
