About the village Fyti
Fyti sits on a plateau 25 km north-east of Paphos. It is one of three grade A tourism villages in the district, with stone houses that have changed little since the 19th century.
Its woven pieces stand out for their variety of patterns and vivid colours. In the early 20th century, children from nearby villages came to study here, which may explain the name (foito, to study).
