About the village Tala

Tala is a large suburban village at about 290 metres, 6 km north of Paphos, where many British residents have homes. It grows vines, citrus, carobs, olives, almonds and walnuts.

One kilometre north stands the monastery founded by Saint Neophytos the Recluse, born in Kato Drys in 1134, whose rock-cut cell (Enkleistra) is decorated with frescoes.
