About the village Pelendri

Pelendri sits at 800 metres, 40 km from Limassol, with peaks over 1,000 metres on three sides. In 1353 it was a fief of John de Lusignan, Prince of Antioch, and chroniclers mention rich traders and estates here in the 15th century.

Fourteen small hamlets once surrounded the village; their people moved to Pelendri for safety. Today it grows apples, peaches, pears, grapes, nuts and raspberries.
