About this tour

A full mountain day from Paphos for anyone who wants to see Cyprus beyond the beaches. The minibus climbs through pine forest to Omodos, the wine village with a cobbled square and the Timios Stavros monastery, said to keep a piece of the Holy Cross.

The road then runs past Pedoulas and Prodromos to Kykkos Monastery, with its gilded mosaics and the icon of the Virgin attributed to St Luke. Nearby, the tomb of Archbishop Makarios on Throni hill looks out over the Troodos ridges. The day ends with tastings at Lambouri winery.

    Drive up from the coast through vineyards and forest.
