About Akademia (Alsos) Forest Park

Officially the National Forest Park of the Paedagogical Academy, this park is known locally as the Akademia or Alsos (grove). It is smaller and closer to the centre than Athalassa, and its pine trees give welcome shade.

The Department of Forests lists a picnic area, pedestrian lanes, a bicycle track, a children’s playground and a kiosk. The wooden play area, with towers, bridges and slides, is the main draw for younger children.
