About the village Evrychou
Evrychou lies about 50 km south-west of Nicosia. Small streams run down to the Karkotis valley, lined with rockroses, terebinths and pines, and the village is a major fruit producer, best known for its apples.
It keeps old stone houses with tiled roofs and wooden balconies. A unique sight is the Cyprus Railways Museum in the old station, telling the story of the island’s long-gone railway.
