About the village Avgorou
Avgorou is said to be named after the baths of King Evagoras of Salamis, and finds go back to the Late Bronze Age. Its mineral-rich red earth grows excellent potatoes, vegetables and citrus.
It has historic churches, including Apostles Peter and Paul and the Agios Kendeas monastery.
