About this tour

A long history day in the east of the island. Salamis, by legend founded by Teucer after the Trojan War, has Roman baths, a theatre and colonnaded streets by the sea.

Inside the walls of Famagusta you see Othello Castle and the Gothic Cathedral of Saint Nicholas, now a mosque, with free time for lunch. The tour ends at Varosha, the beach resort left empty since 1974.
