About the trail
This coastal route crosses rocky ground and low shrubs along the cliffs between the Ayia Napa sea caves and Agioi Anargyroi church. On the way you pass Kamara tou Koraka, the natural stone arch that is one of the best-known views at Cape Greco.
At the end, Agioi Anargyroi church sits above a sea cave where saints are believed to have lived as ascetics. The trail links with the Aphrodite and Konnoi – Agioi Anargyroi trails, so you can make a longer day of it.

When to go
Autumn to spring is the most comfortable time; the trail map notes wild orchids in winter and spring. Summer temperatures in Cyprus can exceed 40°C, so walk early in the morning in summer and carry plenty of water.
Tips for this trail
- Stay well back from the cliff edges, especially in wind.
- It is linear: arrange a pickup at the far end or walk back the same way.
Pick the right grade
Grades come from the official trail map: 1 star is easy, 2 is moderate, 3 is difficult (steep, rocky or long). Choose a route that matches the least experienced person in your group.
Carry water and sun protection
Most fountains on the trails are not drinking water. Take plenty of water, a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen; summer temperatures can exceed 40°C on the coast.
Wear proper shoes
Trails are rocky, with steep slopes and stream crossings in places. Walking shoes or boots with good grip make a big difference.
Plan the return first
Rural buses can be infrequent and phone signal patchy. Know your last departure or fix a pickup time before you start, especially on linear trails.
