About Troodos Geopark Visitor Centre
The Troodos Geopark is a UNESCO Global Geopark. Its visitor centre, in the restored elementary school of the old Amiantos mine, shows rocks and minerals from across the mountain range, models of fossil and mining sites, a copper furnace and a screening room.
Outside, a garden is laid out with rocks from the whole Troodos sequence. The centre has run summer events for young explorers.
