About Akrotiri Environmental Education Centre
The centre explains the wildlife of the Akrotiri peninsula, one of the most important wetlands in Cyprus. From the observation area, telescopes and binoculars look out over the salt lake, where flamingos gather in winter.
The British Bases administration says weekends are especially for families, with drawing, modelling clay, microscope and quiz activities, a botanic garden and a shaded playground. All areas are wheelchair accessible.
